ZAPI MDI-CAN Digital Indicator

This version of the Multi-function Digital Indicator incorporates CANBUS communication. This MDI-CAN can communicate with the most sophisticated systems, also allows simplification of the wiring of the vehicle as compared to traditional RS-232 devices.

Working voltage: 12V. This indicator is powered directly by ZAPI controller, not by the vehicle batteries. In this way, MDI-CAN can be used on systems of different battery voltages.

CAN-Bus communication
The battery’s state of charge is obtained with an advanced algorithm made by the microprocessor. This algorithm considers the condition of braking or large acceleration current demands from the drive motor.
Using the ZAPI programming console, it is possible to make a selection from 100 different types of discharge curves.
ZAPI MDI-CAN is a microprocessor-based system that allows high precision, reliability and adaptability in the measurement of the battery’s state of charge, and in the calculation of the hours worked.
The ZAPI MDI-CAN indicator has three internal functions:
Indication of the battery’s state of charge
Operating hour meter
Indication of the system Alarms
Not connected directly to the battery, ZAPI MDI-CAN does not require the complex auxiliary wiring associated with traditional indicators. The wiring is “point-to-point” (from the indicator directly to the chopper). In this way, the wiring of the machine is simpler, with reduced costs and installation time.
